Car seat expiration, from the maker's manual

Choose your seat and enter the manufacture date printed on its label. You get the maker's own sentence about its lifespan, a link to the source, and the stop date that follows from it. Your date never leaves your browser.

Check your seat's label. If it prints a "Do Not Use After" date, that date wins over this page. This page does not check crash history, recalls or missing parts; look up recalls by model number at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Where the data comes from

Each row is read from the maker's published manual or FAQ and quoted with a link. Chicco, Evenflo and Britax are covered so far; Graco, whose site blocks automated readers, is not yet. Rows were last checked on October 24, 2026. Where a manual gives a year count, "more than N years old" is read here as counting from the manufacture date; that reading is ours.
